Parks & Aquatic Centers
Onalaska offers more than 20 parks, offering everything from athletic courts and swimming pools, to walking trails, picnic areas and shelters. In the winter, you’ll find lighted sledding hills, as well as ice skating and hockey rinks. For more information on parks in Onalaska, visit www.discoveronalaska.com. A number of swimming pools and aquatic centers serve Onalaska residents and visitors. Aquatic centers in Onalaska and Holmen offer large pools and waterslides. The YMCA in Onalaska offers year-round swimming. And West Salem is home to the Swarthout Pool, located next to West Salem High School.
Aquatic Centers
The Onalaska Aquatic Center, located at 250 Riders Club Road, features a zero-depth entry pool, six lap lanes, three waterslides, a sand play area and a concession stand. Fee is charged for admission.
The Holmen Area Aquatic Center, 315 Anderson Street, features a 12,000 square-foot pool, six lap lanes, a 200-foot waterslide, spraying water features and a sand play area. Fee is charged for admission.
The West Salem Swarthout Pool is located next to West Salem High School at 405 East Hamlin. Fee is charged for admission.
The YMCA in Onalaska, located at 400 Mason Street, provides year-round swimming.
